A MUM is appealing for help in finding a bike stolen from her son as he worked in a charity shop in Stockton Heath.

Ryan Beckett, aged 15, was volunteering at Save The Children, London Road, when the mountain bike was stolen on Saturday morning.

Mum Lesley says he is ‘devastated’.

She said: “He is really upset and down in the dumps.

“It’s absolutely dreadful you can’t leave anything, anywhere.

“The bike is his way of getting around, because he’s trying to be independent so he doesn’t have to rely on us.

“This is his only form of transport.”

Ryan uses the bike to go to rugby training at Priestley College and Cadets.

It was taken from the back of the shop between 9.30am and noon on Saturday.

The wheels were locked together and Mrs Beckett believes whoever took it may have had to carry it.

Police are investigating.

Anyone with information can call Warrington South NPU on 101.
