BUDDING entrepreneurs can sink their teeth into a new course aimed at creating the business brains of tomorrow.

From September, a new two-year level three BTEC extended diploma in enterprise and entrepreneurship will start at the Warrington Collegiate as part of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

Students, who complete the course designed by entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, Peter Jones, will leave with the equivalent of three A-levels.

Mandy Jones, lecturer and course leader for PJEA, said: “At 16, many budding young entrepreneurs are fresh from school with some fantastic, innovative ideas for starting their own business or just keen to work in business and innovation, as well as planning to go to University. Now they can do both.

“This new two year course offers students UCAS points for university as well as providing the opportunity to run their own business with business mentors and work placements in industry.

“This provides a valuable insight into how the world of business and enterprise operates.”
