HEALTH leaders in the town are calling on the town’s residents to have their say on proposed changes to NHS commissioning policies for healthcare services, treatments and procedures.
Based on new national guidance, the most important proposed changes are regarding In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) helping couples with fertility problems to have a baby; interventional treatments for varicose veins, penile implants and diabetes/continuous glucose monitoring.
Residents can give feedback through an online survey up until 12pm on Monday, April 7.
The CCG will then decide whether it wants to put the updated policies into practice - with or without changes.
