MEN from across the town who enjoy singing are being invited to an ‘open door’ Warrington Male Voice Choir rehearsal on Thursday, January 30.

In a first for the choir, the event will start at 7.30pm at Alford Hall, Manchester Road, and give potential members the chance to listen to rehearsals, join in if they want to and chat to members during the break.

Warren Davies, choir committee member, said: “We believe there are lots of men out there who enjoy singing around the house or while working.

“We’re looking to harness some of that hidden talent and encourage them to join one of the country’s great choirs – and it’s a lot drier than singing in the shower!”

The choir rehearse on Mondays/Thursdays at 7.30pm at Alford Hall ahead of being joined on stage by Welsh tenor Rhys Meirion at the Parr Hall on March 29.
