A STOCKTON Heath man was found fighting with no top on in the town centre by police, a court heard.

Ashley Alexander John Horne, aged 25, of Chadwick Avenue, was arrested by officers for being drunk and disorderly following the incident on Friars Gate.

Halton Magistrates Court heard on Thursday how Horne was fighting with another man after a night out.

When police arrived, Horne’s top was off and they could see grazes on his arms and back.

They had been alerted by CCTV in the town centre.

The incident happened at 2.10am on November 28.

Horne, who has 12 convictions for 28 offences, failed to turn up to court and the case was heard in his absence.

District Judge Bridget Knight issued a fine of £100 and ordered that £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge be paid.
