WORK to transform lower Bridge Street is complete - with German trees and Italian planters.
The rennovation of the street started in September and has seen the pavements and road relaid, a new shape put into the road and planters put in.
The trees, conifers, weere carefully selected to minimise any impact on CCTV, reduce maintenance and survive in a British climate according to council officers.
They were bought for Germany as they were the nearest place selling this style of conifer.
The planters, themselves, made in Italy, were bought from Marshalls in the UK.
