RESIDENTS are set for a traffic headache as roadworks to improve the Latchford Village area are set to continue.

The scheme is expected to take about 12 weeks to complete and will be carried out between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with some work being done at weekends.

The first phase includes kerbs and footpaths being renewed and reconstructed before the road will be closed for resurfacing from 9am to 2.30pm on March 17 to March 28.

The council will be working with businesses in the area to make arrangements for access to properties on Knutsford Road during the works but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Buses will be diverted while the road closure is in place and information notices regarding diversions will be on bus stops towards the end of February.

A spokesman added: “The council is working with the contractor to keep delays to a minimum.”
