YOUNGSTERS got into the wartime spirit as Great Sankey Primary School held a theme week to launch the topics pupils would be learning about over the next term.
An air raid signal in the school hall annouced the start of year four and five students learning about the Second World War with pupils arriving at school dressed as evacuees.
Years one and two also caused a stir sporting 1970’s hairstyles while a special guest speaker came in to share their memories from their seventies childhood.
