THE Bishop of Warrington is inviting residents to join in a prayer vigil as the selection process for the future Bishop of Liverpool enters its next phase.
Bishop Richard Blackburn, Bishop of Warrington and acting Bishop of Liverpool, has called upon the town to join the ceremony at St Elphin’s Parish Church from 7.30pm on Wednesday.
The vigil will include a special prayer liturgy composed by Canon Myles Davies, Canon Precentor at the Liverpool Cathedral.
Bishop Richard said: “As the search for the next Bishop of Liverpool enters its next crucial stage, I encourage all Christians in our diocese to pray that God calls the right person with the skills to serve our diocese and helps us to continue to grow in Christ.
“The prayer vigil in Warrington is an ideal opportunity for you to join in this unified prayer effort.”
