POLICE are appealing for information after more homes were broken into in a spate of burglaries over the weekend.  

On Sunday night officers say a home on Winwick Park was burgled with the homeowners car then stolen. 

Police say the vehicle has now been recovered.

According to Warrington East NPU, which covers Poulton, Birchwood, Rixton, Woolston, Culceth, Glazebury and Croft, a home on Fearnhead Lane was burgled on Friday morning. 

Two men have been arrested and are being questioned by police.

Officers have yet to confirm if anything was taken.

Warrington Central NPU, which covers Orford, Longford, Howley, Fairfield, Poplars and Hulme, were called to three burglaries on Friday and Saturday night.

Officers say a home on Cleveland Road, Orford, was raided between Friday night and Saturday morning.

A Carrera mountain bike and mini moto bike were stolen.

A house on Cooper Avenue in Longford was burgled during the same period.

An address on Small Avenue in Orford was broken into between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is not yet clear what was taken, according to police.

Further burglaries were reported on Parksway in Woolston over the weekend.

There has been a recent spate of burglaries in the town, with residents advised to use security measures like timed lights.
