POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a homeowner returned to find his house being burgled in Penketh.
The male victim found the front door of his home on Ditchfield Road had been forced open.
A man was inside the house and ran off down Ditchfield Road, turning left onto Chapel Lane.
He is described as white, 6ft tall, of medium build, with shaved brown hair and stubble.
The man was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and tracksuit bottoms, and had a Liverpool accent.
A DKNY watch and IPhone was stolen during the burglary.
A second man was also seen running down Ditchfield Road shortly before the burglary.
He is described as white, 6ft tall, of medium build with short dark hair The man was wearing dark tracksuit type clothing.
The incident happened at 6pm on Friday, December 27.
