POLICE say a woman found dead in a house in Latchford did not die in suspicious circumstances.

They arrested a 38-year-old on New Year's Eve on suspicion of murder and said they were treating the death of the 34-year-old on Knutsford Road as suspicious.

But they have confirmed today, Thursday, that following an investigation and Home Office post mortem, they no longer believe it was suspicious.

Her body was found at 7.45pm on New Year's Eve.

The cause of death has been withheld pending toxicology and histology results.

The 38-year-old man has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
