POLICE are urging residents to keep homes safe after five properties were raided on Wednesday night.
Burglaries happened at homes on Chester Road and Brook Avenue in Stockton Heath, and Euclid Avenue and Mairesfield Avenue in Grappenhall.
A house on Woodlands Drive in Lymm was also burgled.
Christmas presents, wallets, cash and electronic items were taken, according to officers.
There have been 10 burglaries in Grappenhall, Lymm and Stockton Heath since Friday, three shed break-ins, and three thefts from cars.
Some happened after doors or windows were left unlocked.
Police are calling for residents to take extra caution in locking doors and windows, and leaving valuables out of sight.
The use of security lights and timed lights is also strongly recommended.
