AN adoption support centre in Warrington was unveiled last week by two of the region’s leading adoption charities, Adoption Matters Northwest and Caritas Care.

The centre will provide support to youngsters to ensure they have a smooth transition into their new home.

Project manager Delyth Evans said: “Every child has the right to a happy childhood, so we’re here to ensure that each family we work with receives the best possible support.

“Large social settings such as school can sometimes be very stressful for an adopted child, which is why post adoption support is so important to a child’s development.”

The new office is based on the University of Chester’s Warrington campus in Padgate.

The facilities will house a new team of social workers who are tasked with developing the service throughout Warrington and the north west.
