PLANS continue to set up a veteran’s support group in the town with ex-soldiers encouraged to take part.

Warrington Veterans' Forum is calling for former members of the Armed Forces to join as mentors, sit on the board and help formulate services.

It is chaired by Lance Reah, who struggled to find employment when leaving the Army after 11 years.

Working alongside Warrington Borough Council, he wants veterans to join the forum.

It is aiming to set up a service in the town to link veterans and families to agencies that can help them with employment, housing and medical care.
