BUDDING boxers from Bridgefoot ABC put their skills to good use when the club hosted a sold out charity boxing tournament in aid of The Shannon Bradshaw Trust.
The club raised more than £370 for the charity, which supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their loved ones.
Coach Derek Groarke said: “Our tournament provided Bridgefoot’s talented young fighters with the opportunity to test their skills against top-class opposition.
“But more so, it also allowed us to give something back to our local community by supporting the Shannon Bradshaw Trust, a charity that makes an incredible difference to the lives of local families facing tough times.”
Since the club was founded in 1998, it has raised tens of thousands of pounds for a number of charities through boxing tournaments, which they host twice a year.
