WARRINGTON Disability Partnership celebrated this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities by holding its annual Appreciation of Efforts Awards at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
The awards were presented for excellence in support, services and employment for disabled people and their carers.
WDP’s founder Dave Thompson, who hosted the event, said: “The enthusiasm and energy we have created has resulted in supporting tens of thousands of disabled people and their families.
“It has also inspired organisations from across the UK and the world to follow our example by running local Disability Awareness Days in India, Gibraltar and Cameroon.
“We look forward to the next 12 months and beyond.”
