A BENEFIT cheat who falsely claimed more than £7,000 has been ordered to repay the money and work for free.
Susan Murrell, aged 58, of Albany Rd, Lymm, will do 240 hours unpaid work after admitting two counts of benefit fraud.
Between March 2010 and May 2012 Murrell stole £7,121 in Employment Support Allowance and £561 in council tax benefit.
She claimed to be a single person but lived with her husband.
The defendant was sentenced at Halton Magistrates Court on November 29.
She will pay the full amount back, and £200 costs.
