RESIDENTS in Penketh are invite to a community carol service around a new 25ft Christmas tree at Honiton Way.
It takes place next Saturday, December 21 at 6.30pm. The tree is the first to appear in a generation at the shopping centre.
Clr David Keane, chairman of Penketh Events committee, said: "This is a real community effort, involving our local churches, schools and community organisations.
“I have to give a big thank you to our Partners; Urban Builders and MK Electrical for putting up our tree, Penketh Fencing for assisting with supplies, Penketh Parish Council who have supported us with funding and the assistance of Livewire and Warrington Borough Council. Fiddlers Ferry Power Station have been of tremendous assistance, supporting our Christmas Card and Community Carol service.”
