AIMED at inspiring and motivating young people, the Warrington Youth Club hopes its recently opened Skills Bank will be Warrington’s answer to youth unemployment problems.
Based at the former Lloyds TSB Bank in Times Square, the new facility plans to provide a vital stepping stone in supporting youngsters as they move onto further training or employment.
The Skills Bank will house a salon where qualified hair stylists can rent a chair for up to a third of the price of other salons in the town centre.
There is also a state of the art gym as well as facilities to host a job club.
Other schemes, which will be running from the Skills Bank, include National Citizen Service, Power in Partnership and Youth Graffiti Solutions.
