A BIRCHWOOD mum is hosting a Christmas fun day to raise funds for her autistic son’s pre-school.

Laura Bringau, of Barham Court, has organised the event to say thank you to staff at Locking Stumps Pre School for all the help they have offered her two-year-old, Louie.

The fun day will be held at the Turf & Feather pub in Glover Road on Sunday between 1pm and 6pm.

There will be a huge amount of activities on the day including ‘Leroy’s Lizard Lounge’, the chance to meet miniature horse, Memory, and Birchwood’s fire crew will be bringing their fire engine.

Santa will be chatting to youngsters in his grotto, there will be Christmas stalls, a luxury raffle and even a mince pie eating competition.

Laura, aged 28, said: “Linda, the manager, along with the other staff are very passionate about the pre school and are highly thought of in the community for all the great work they do with the children.”
