FROM ‘ONE for the money and the free rides’.

There can’t be many noughties pop fans who can’t name the track from this one line.

‘All Rise’ launched boyband Blue to hoards of screaming fans in 2001 and lead to 13m worldwide record sales before Lee, Duncan, Simon and Anthony went their separate ways four years later.

Fast forward to Sunday night and the phwoarsome foursome were back with a bang to a sell-out crowd at the Liverpool O2 Academy.

Swaggering on stage with their unique brand of r’n’b pop, the boys had the venue rocking with hits Too Close and Fly By before the crowd attempted to hit the high notes of Breathe Easy and If You Come Back.

A few more blasts from the past on their set list would have been nice but after releasing their latest album Roulette without the help of a record label it’s no surprise Blue are keen to prove they’re not stuck in the noughties.
