Alison wins big in Guardian BidLo competition
1:00pm Saturday 26th October 2013 in News
THEY say luck runs in threes.
And Alison MacDonald could not believe her luck when she found out she had won not once but twice in our great new Bid Lo auction.
So she rushed out to buy her very first lottery ticket - but this time she missed out.
The 52-year-old, of Grasmere Avenue, Orford, won up to £2,500 in artificial lawn from Lawn Land and also a three-month family membership to David Lloyd Gym in Great Sankey.
Alison said: “I’m so pleased. I have been trying to get my garden turfed for three years with little success after it was adapted for my disability.
“And I cannot wait to use the family gym membership with my grandchildren. They are all sporty as it is.
“I have brittle bone disease so I get physio three times a week but was asked to join a gym but I never got round to it and it can be expensive.”
Bid Lo is a fictional auction where you can win a range of amazing prizes by putting forward low bids for lots. The lowest priced unique bid wins the prize and you can bid by text or post with the usual Newsquest terms and conditions applying.
And you could be up against Alison to win one of this week’s great prizes.
“I’m still bidding on a few things for this week,” she added. “The day I found out I had won I had posted another four bids.
“I have never entered anything it’s just something I put in because I love the Warrington Guardian. It keeps me informed and gives ideas for help for me.”
