Birchwood Park will be Hillsborough inquiry venue
BIRCHWOOD Park is set to become the venue for the Hillsborough judicial inquiry set to take place next year.
A planning application to change 305 Bridgewater Place into a law court for up to three years has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council.
There had been much speculation about where the hearing was expected to take place after it was announced it would happen in the town.
In the application letter it said: "Ministry of Justice, working in conjunction with its retained property advisors, has identified the Bridgewater Place building to be the most appropriate in location and accommodation terms for the Inquiry process."
It estimated it would hold from 300 to 350 people in the converted room.
