Warrington company faces liquidation
10:45am Tuesday 8th October 2013 in News
A WARRINGTON-BASED building services company could face liquidation after a winding-up petition was served to the company by trade creditors.
Belfry Group Ltd will cease to exist if the legal petition is granted against them in November.
The circumstances surrounding the order remain unclear but a winding-up petition can be applied for if a company cannot repay its debts of more than £750.
The company, which started trading in 2003, went into administration on September 30 with insolvency firm Rooney Associates appointed as the company’s administrators.
Based at Winwick Quay, Belfry Group Ltd were renowned across the country for its revolutionary EcoPod heating system with the product shortlisted in two categories in the Heating and Ventilation Awards in 2011.
The company was known as Belfry Maintenance Services Ltd until it changed its name in 2008.
Managing director Keith Rimmer was contacted by the Warrington Guardian but no statement was provided.
