A WOMAN is determined to give back to a charity which has supported her and her family during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Mary Jane Johnson’s father had to take early retirement from work after being diagnosed with cancer.
Mary Jane said: “Macmillan have been incredible with my father. They provided a crucial support network that enables us, as a family, to best help my father and each other through his cancer journey.”
A coffee morning will take place at her workplace United Utilities on Friday to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan fundraising manager for Warrington, Grace Higgins said: “We are very grateful to Mary Jane and all of our wonderful coffee morning hosts.
“Their support is crucial for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“We want to make sure no one has to face cancer alone but we can't do it without the amazing people who fundraise for us.”
