The national stop smoking challenge returns next month after 160,000 people took part last year.

LiveWire is leading the stop smoking campaign in Warrington in a bid to help the town quit with current figures estimating 19 per cent of adults in the town still smoke.

A LiveWire spokesman said: “We want to encourage the people of Warrington to visit us for free support and advice about stopping smoking for Stoptober.

“We run drop in sessions throughout Warrington for all ages and can give you free advice.”
