8:00am Sunday 15th September 2013 in News
CLOSE to £15,000 was raised by the Manchester office of accountants and auditors UHY Hacker Young at a fun day in Walton.
The fun day, held at the home of Mark Robertson, partner at UHY Hacker Young, was organised for the New Bridge School in Oldham.
The money will allow the school to buy more than 30 Apple tablets and docking stations for those students who cannot physically use traditional computers.
Entertaining the 750 people attending the event were both players from Warrington Wolves and a band made up from students at New Bridge.
Mr Robertson, organiser of the event, said, “It was a fantastic day, with fantastic people digging deep for great cause. All those attended, including the Wolves players and other special guests, made it a remarkable and success day.
“UHY Hacker Young is specially grateful to our clients and business partners who have also contributed generously to our charity of the year.”
