Royal Mail looking to hire hundreds for Christmas
9:20am Monday 9th September 2013 in News
ROYAL MAIL has launched a campaign to recruit 450 people from Warrington as temporary workers for Christmas.
Temporary work with various shifts will be available between mid November and early January 2014 - chiefly at Lingley Mere.
The peak time for the temporary shifts will be in December. The seasonal job roles will be an addition to Royal Mail’s permanent 124,000 postmen and women who work for the organisation.
Royal Mail’s managing director of operations and modernisation, Mark Higson, said: “Every Christmas, we make a substantial financial commitment in additional resources to handle the festive mailbag, including the recruitment of thousands of temporary workers.”
