SUPPORT staff from social services in Warrington have been commended for their “dedication and commitment” in supporting people with disabilities by Warrington Borough Council.
Clr Pat Wright, the council’s executive board member for health and wellbeing and adult services, said: “By providing specialist day services within community settings, we are naturally able to make full use of facilities such as swimming pools, gyms and other leisure activities.
“This helps us to provide meaningful opportunities which promote health and wellbeing. It also helps to encourage social inclusion.”
There are a number of services available to people with learning disabilities in Warrington from read to relax sessions at the Orford Jubilee Hub Library to conservation groups.
