Plans for more than 100 homes in Latchford
8:30am Tuesday 20th August 2013 in News
PLANS for more than 100 homes to be built in Latchford are due to be discussed by councillors.
Members of the development management committee will rule on application to develop the site off Marsden Avenue.
Developers want to build 104 homes, 58 semi detached and 46 terraced homes.
They are also promising a new access road, close to Westy Care Home, and public areas and landscaping.
Three neighbours have objected while ward councillor and former Mayor Clr Steve Wright says there are concerns about possible land contamination on the site.
The application will be discussed from 6.30pm and members of the public are welcome.
Planners have recommended the scheme be approved, but have attached conditions that 70 per cent of the homes are affordable and £38,500 are spent on road improvements.
