Steam train passes through town for first time in 45 years

RAIL fans took a trip back in time on Sunday as an original passenger steam train passed through Warrington Central for the first time since 1968.
The 15 Guinea Special ran from Liverpool Lime Street to Carlisle and marked 45 years since steam trains were withdrawn by British Railways after being replaced by diesel and electric trains.
