THE best teacher, carer, adult learner or charity champion - we want to hear about the people who inspire you and deserve some recognition.
To celebrate our 160th anniversary, the Warrington Guardian is launching the first Warrington Inspiration Awards.
Designed to recognise the best of our town, we will be handing out prizes in 10 categories at a star studded awards night at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in October.
And now is the time to send us your nominees.
We have awards for foster carer of the year, young carer, charity champion, adult learner, teacher, act of courage, teenager, sportsperson, contribution to the community and a lifetime achievement.
Nicola Priest, Warrington Guardian editor, said she is excited to look ahead to the awards.
“Our 160th year has already been a remarkably successful one.
“And when we were planning our calendar we knew an awards night had to be at the heart of what we were doing.
“There are so many inspiring and remarkable people in our town, many of whom we feature every week.
“So the opportunity to celebrate them all on one grand night was one too good to miss.”
You can nominate your inspirations for each of the categories from now until August 27.
Just tell us who you are nominating and why that person should win. Keep your nominations to 100 words or less.
You can e-mail nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org or write to us, Inspiration Awards, Newsdesk, The Warrington Guardian, 138, Bridge Street, Warrington, WA1 2RU.
