DO you have what it takes to dance to the beat at this year’s Rugby League World Cup?

Culture Warrington and Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation are looking for experienced dancers to be part of a dance project to celebrate the World Cup coming to Warrington this autumn.

Window on Warrington is a large scale dance project that will welcome host team Samoa as they play against New Zealand on Sunday, October 27 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The dance project, which will also be performed during the quarter final match on Sunday, November 17, will form part of the March to the Match, directing people from the town centre to the grounf.

Culture Warrington and Warrington Wolves are looking for five dancers experienced in site specific work and outdoor performance to join them for the autumn performances.

Auditions will take place on Saturday from 10am at Pyramid in the town centre.

More than 600 dancers from community groups across Warrington will take part with the choreography influenced by the heritage of Warrington and Samoa with key themes including storytelling, fantastical, industry and waterways.

Rehearsals are already under way with regular weekend site visits in the town centre.

The next site visit will take place on Sunday August, 18 where the public will be able to see the dance taking shape around the Guardians near Bridge Street and Horsemarket Street.
