TALENTED teen Aimee Hilton from Burtonwood had her mother in floods of tear as she scooped up third place in the World Pole Sports Championships 2013.
The Culcheth High pupil, despite only starting pole dancing lessons 12 months ago at LaKiTa Dance Academy on Museum Street, amazed the judges with her dance routine in the final.
Her mum Michelle Hilton said she was covered in goose bumps when she watched her daughter perform.
The proud mum said: “She was as cool as a cucumber but both Aimee’s coach and I were shaking. We were more nervous than she was.
“But it was beautiful and who knows what she will be able to do in another 12 months.”
Aimee competed in the novice category for 10 to 14-year-olds where she was up against five dancers, two from Italy and three from Russia.
The 12-year-old has already signed up to next year’s competition and is determined to bring home first place next year.
