GREAT Sankey-based charity the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace has been given the honour of organising a commemoration ceremony this weekend for the London bombings.
Families and survivors will be gathering at Hyde Park memorial to mark the eighth anniversary of the 7/7 bombings on Sunday.
The memorial comprises of 52 stainless steel pillars, collectively representing each of the 52 victims, grouped together in four clusters reflecting the four locations of the explosions.
Jo Dover, from the foundation, said: “We need to remember and respect those who lost their lives and those whose lives have changed forever following the horrific events of that day.
“We are privileged to support the families and survivors to organise this event, as part of our wider work in supporting victims of terrorism and conflict.”
