A GOLF shop owner is looking forward to teeing off with his Bewsey store again after it was completely destroyed by flames two years ago.
The Warrington Guardian reported earlier this year business owner Leslie Brinksman, of Walgrave Road, Newton-Le-Willows, was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work for breaching fire safety law after the blaze in August 2011 left two men trapped above the Cross Bar pub.
After having to wait months to re-open, owner of KW Golf Karl Wanstall is delighted to be opening the doors of his Lovely Lane shop again next week.
He added: “I had got used to daytime TV and watching Loose Women but it will be great to have the store open again.
“I have had quite a few customers popping in while we’ve been working on the shop fitting saying they have missed us but they may have just been after a good deal!”
