INDISH

Walton Road, Stockton Heath

THERE’S no shortage of places to eat in Stockton Heath, but choosing where to go is more difficult.

But if currys and Indian food is your thing, look no further than the Indish.

Located on Walton Road, this friendly eaterie has everything you could want.

Warm and friendly service and a vast array of dishes to choose from make even deciding what to eat difficult.

Fifteen minutes of examing the menu and I had decided.

Poppadums with mango chutney put me on before my starter.

The chicken chat to start with was of mammoth proportions – juicy pieces of shredded chicken, served inside a pancake style casing, complete with a delicious sauce.

But the main course was what I had really come for.

And the Chicken Lava was what I finally decided on.

Served in a sizzling plate, the tandoori style meat and veg was delicious.

Perfectly cooked and nice and spicy.

It was served with a separate helping of curry sauce (which was more than enough for my girlfriend and I – who tucked in alongside her deliciously creamy Makhani) to provide extra flavour.

The pilau rice, one between the two of us was plenty, tasted great while the garlic and coriander naan did not fall into the usual trap of being greasy, and instead was both filling and delicious.

The dessert range was fairly limited, but I was so full that a palate cleansing chunk of orange was plenty.

So if you fancy a curry in Stockton heath, look no further than the Indish.
