No surprise really the worst one is the next one down on Mersey Street where cars often don't seem to know what a red light means. Crossing Church Street is also a nightmare, around 90% or cars turning from Brick Street, Supermarket Street and Mersey Street believe all pedestrians are mind readers because they fail to indicate and then think its ok to scream out of their windows. I've approached a few drivers who've nearly killed me like this and curse at me although the fault lies with them always feel the need to drive off in a hurry because "they've gotta be somewhere" i'm not the uk's #1 driver by a long shot but i do know using indicators doesn't just warn walkers it warns other users too and if a driver used them 100% of the time like they're required by law to do so there'd be less crashes or fatalities with people. The Police maybe should crack down with £30 instant tickets and if the same drivers who were forewarned brought before a court to see why they can't drive properly, have their licence retaken until they xanex pass. If this effects their job then there's a way to avoid it, drive with full care and attention using traffic lights properly red means stop Amber means slow down and stop unless your in meters of the crossing where its dangerous but it definitely means speed up before the light totally red and of course green means go. Fine the few drivers who cause crashes insuring their driving doesn't increase premiums. Maybe do what the Russians do with camera in their cars to show blame and costs be safe drivers. I think Americans do something similar like a black oc flight recorder.

well said somelad... i was just going to write and comment about the lack of indication from car drivers. I am a born again cyclist (!) and i have lost count of the amount of times i have almost been hit by eejit drivers who must think i am psychic.I counted FIVE cars one after the other turning on cockhedge roundabout that did not indicate..but if i were to get hit you can bet they would blame me!! That is my ultimate bug bear.. and dont get me started on mobile phone users too ...if anyone from the police would like to install a camera to my bike they would be quids in because the amount of recklessness i have seen is UNREAL...and i have also almost been hit four times whilst on crossings! Hope the fella makes a speedy recovery (no pun intended)
