Vandals damage 13 cars in under two hours in Orford Vandals damage 13 cars in under two hours in Orford

THIRTEEN cars were smashed up in less than two hours during a rampage by vandals in Orford.

The fleet of vehicles was damaged between 1am and 2.40am on Saturday on Fisher Avenue, Statham Avenue and Crowe Avenue.

Police say wing mirrors were broken off, body work was dented and windscreens put through.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Insp Neil Drum of Warrington Central NPU, said: "We are appealing to anyone with any information about the incidents to please come forward.

"Incidents of criminal damage such as this can cause considerable upset to the victims.

“This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated."

Anyone with any information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 115 of March 16.

Information can also be left anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.

DEAKODUDE. the parents will probably say their kids got into the wrong crowd, if that's the case, the kids would seperate themselves from that wrong crowd. if they don't, they are all as bad as each other. parents can only do so much to put their children on the straight and narrow, and as two of the ones arrested are 18 and 17 respectively, they are surely old enough to know which way they have decided to go.

Why not put them in court the next day instead of dragging it out for months on end. If they are convicted then name them because you certainly wont shame them.

Unfortunately this happens everywhere, If I caught anyone doing this to my car id ensure irrapairable damage was done to the vandals face. This is a situation where people need to gang together and fight these people. The law are absolutely useless in cases like this. A good hiding from all the residents on the street. Why dont people group together if they see this and sort the problem out.

Insurance for the WA2 area is one of the highest in cheshire.
Try putting you and your vehicle at a WA2 address and see what quote comes back to you.
I did it online and saw a £700 difference.

Insurance and orford ??

Theres some real snobs on here i've lived in most parts of Warrington and i know for a fact that there is crime of all sorts everywhere...But all people can come up with is only in Orford..? Sad,Pathetic,Deluded and simplistic views...As for the vandals they should be made to give up every penny of their wages/benefits until all the damage is paid for...

Shove ur Appleton and Crofts attitudes where the snobby sun doesn't shine!!! And yes vandalism does occur in other places within the borough!!! we are not all drug and alcohol crazed idiots in orford and some of us actually work and pay taxes so get off your high horses and accept that crime occurs in every corner of this town. When its Orford it tends to be reported a little more. Not surprising when there is a large population living in the area. theres loads of thieves in the Risley area lol!!!!!!

There is predominately more crime in certain Warrington sink spots both north and south of the Canal. It is often where such petty criminals start their life of crime, before graduating quickly on to other things. From my personal knowledge I am aware that some of the criminals are accompanied by a family background and a documented history of such poor breeding, poor moral guidance and an attitude for feral procreation.

I am am orford resident so I know what goes down in the area you clueless bunch of numpties!

The fact i reside in the safer part of the ward is something I see as a positive. Would hate to be in the rough parts and I would rather chance walking through moss side than walking through some of the ghettos in orford!

I agree the punishment will not fit the crime but that is the job of a judge to punish not the police, they investigate pass it on to the CPS and then the CPS charge or not charge the person/s. The CPS (criminal protection squad) are the biggest problem why things don't go to court, my car was broken into and the cps decided against charging the offender even though the police thought they would.
