TAKE a walk through the Easter story at St Thomas’ Church in Stockton Heath.


The London Road church is recreating an interactive walk-through experience of the story which is suitable for all the family.


New Curate The Reverend Lore Chumbley said: “We are really looking forward to it. The aim is to allow people to feel as if they are actually in Jerusalem experiencing the events in the week leading up to the first Easter.
“Things people enjoyed from last year will be there, in addition to som

e fresh ideas.”

ents are available and the experience is open daily from 9.30am to 3pm with a late night opening following night prayer on Tuesday from 7pm to 8.30pm between now and Easter.

I visited Stockton Heath from Woolston on a little shopping trip. I walked past the church an saw a poster. I went in.....This is an experience which I would not have expected in a church. I saw children from a school visit. They were really busy with the worksheet. I only came in for a coffee. Adults visiting were amazed with the walk through the church.
St Thomas Church is worth a look at any time of day. I was impressed.
