THE date for the public inquiry to decide on the future of Peel Hall has been set.

Members of the council’s planning committee voted to refuse the plans for 150 homes on the land earlier this month.

Now an inquiry will take place on May 29 at the new Orford Park hub from 10am to heard evidence.

Clr Geoff Settle (LAB - Poulton North) said: “There is still an opportunity to submit additional information.

“If you made any comments at the application stage, Warrington Borough Council will send them to the planning inspectorate on your behalf.

“‘I was proud and delighted with the performances of the Fight Against Peel Hall Development committee members who spoke at the planning meeting. It was an alien environment for them.

“They had put in a great deal of effort preparing and practising their speeches and it paid off. They were rightly praised and cheered by everyone.

To send extra comments write to The Planning Inspectorate, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN (enclosing 3 copies of the letter, by quoting reference APP/M0655/A/13/2192076/NWF by Wednesday.
