Book now for Peace Centre open day

ONE of the town’s most iconic buildings will be opening its doors for a day of reflection and celebration to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the IRA bombing.

The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Centre will be open on Saturday from 2 to 5pm with activities all day.

Families can see behind the scenes, a theatre will be hosting talks and performances, a ‘peace of cake’ demonstration, arts activities and giant chess and Connect Four.

Food will also be on offer as well as quiet areas set aside for those people who want a moment’s reflection on the day.

Nick Taylor, chief executive, said: “The response from Warrington following the bombing was truly amazing and this building is a living memorial to the two boys who lost their lives and also all those affected locally.”

Entry is free but guests must book in advance visit peacecentreopenday.eventbrite.co.uk.
