Swimmers take the plunge for WDP
AROUND 40 people took the plunge for a sponsored swim to raise money for Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP).
The sponsored swim, supported by Livewire at its Orford Park base, was open to all ages and abilities, with participants including Great Sankey swimming champion Aden Walker, who has collected 246 medals and 41 trophies in special Olympic swimming.
A number of swimmers completed the 64 Length Challenge to receive a ‘Going the Extra Mile’ T-shirt.
Dave Thompson, WDP chairman, also took part and praised the efforts of three young members of Warrington Warriors who took part.
He said the event is now aimed to become an annual occasion.
