A DIAMOND necklace and wedding ring were among the valuables stolen in a burglary in Croft.

Two men raided the address on Smithy Brow after smashing their way in through a patio door.

Police say a platinum gold chain with a cross pendant containing diamonds was taken, along with a Swarovski silver chain and man’s wedding ring.

The burglary took place at around 8.45pm on Friday, March 1.

The men disturbed a security alarm and were chased off by neighbours.

They were seen getting into a car, possibly silver, which was then driven off towards Winwick Road, according to officers.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

The first man is described as white, aged between 18 and 20, of slim build and wearing dark clothing.

The second man is described as of medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Again "old-codger" - you need a fullstop at the end, not a comma.

If we are arguing about punctuation and diction, "full stop" is two words, not one!!

As a life long reader of this publication i find it amazing that the same people over & over again seem to comment on every single article with their mostly discriminatory opinions.
Old codger is a regular mouth piece and i would be interested to know how perfect he and the rest of the puritanical brigade really are?
