Sci-Tech Daresbury filling up its space
4:00pm Sunday 10th March 2013 in News
SCI-TECH Daresbury has filled up 50 per cent of its first Enterprise Zone development Vanguard House.
There are now 11 companies which call the base home after it opened 18 months ago with many expanding companies already based on the site moving to the new centre to capitalize on the benefits associated with Enterprise Zone status.
New arrivals at the building which have relocated include design and manufacturing simulation pioneers, Applied Computing and Engineering (ac&e) and IT services company, Urban IT.
New companies on the campus include Ensafe Consultants, who provide effective solutions for asbestos project management, environmental and health & safety services, and combustion optimization experts, Enhanced Hydrocarbon Technologies.
John Leake, business development manager at Sci-Tech Daresbury, said: “Businesses based on campus are enjoying a successful start to the year and it’s been exciting to witness the high levels of growth and innovation which are continuing to emerge from campus companies.
“The high calibre of companies relocating to the site’s flagship Enterprise Zone development, Vanguard House, is inspiring and we’re witnessing significant interest from both international and national firms keen to relocate to Sci-Tech Daresbury.”
The science and industry park was announced as an Enterprize Zone by the Government in April last year which means it benefits from initiatives such as business rates reinvested in the campus.
