Liverpool Road open again after crash

Police have closed part of Liverpool Road Police have closed part of Liverpool Road

LIVERPOOL Road is open again following a collision between a car and pedestrian. 

The pedestrian - a 30-year-old man - has been taken to Warrington Hospital following the crash.

It happened at around 4.55pm on Monday next to the Butcher's Arms pub.

Police say the man is not thought to be in a serious condition.

The driver was not hurt in the accident, say officers. 

Liverpool Road is now open again in both directions. 

It had been closed by police between the junctions of Stocks Lane and Lingley Road for around an hour.

Anyone with information can call police on 101.
