Textiles Direct in the Cockhedge Centre goes into administration

SIX more jobs in the town are under threat after Textiles Direct announced they had gone into administration.

Employees were called today with the news at the Cockhedge Centre store and are now hoping bosses can find a buyer.

Jane Lee, who has been working at the store for four years, said: "We have put closing down signs up but for now we're trading as normal until we know more."

The blow follows camera shop Jessops, video rental store Blockbuster and record shop HMV all closing in the town centre in 2013.

Sad to hear for the workers there but the high streets everywhere are going and only free parking will make a little difference to the decline we see.

I couldnt agree more deakodude,
Its a shame the way this town is going all because of the pure greed for parking charges.
