A JUNIOR team is dressing to impress in a new pink kit - but all for a very good cause.

The lads who make up Rylands Under 16s junior team wanted to celebrate their last year as juniors in a special way.

And they have decided to raise money for the Neo Natal Unit at Warrington Hospital.

A host of fundraising is planned to help them reach their £1,500 target with the kits being the centrepiece.

Coach Malcolm Holt said: “The lads came up with this themselves.

“They wanted to put something back into the community.

“This will be their last year playing together as juniors, they have played together since seven, so it will be a good way to mark the year and they will get to keep the kits as well.”

The kits were debuted in a friendly against Latchford Albion on Sunday with the first league match to take place against the Shevington Sharks from Wigan on Sunday.

Shouldn't this say 'rugby' juniors? If this is football they appear to be playing it wrong.

Sliver......its the media....they dont care about Rugby League.

What I would say is this is a great bit of community spirit by a group which is often stereotyped as trouble making chavs. Well done lads and good luck to you.
