THE agency behind adoption services in Warrington is reaching out to new potential adopters in the LGBT community.

Following the success of Warrington, Wigan and St Helens shared adoption service (WWiSH) which appeared at the UK Baby and Toddler Show WWiSH will appear at The National Gay Wedding Show.

WWiSH adoption manager Ruth Fitzgerald said: “Choosing to adopt is an incredibly rewarding, life changing decision, one that we know many attendees at the show will have considered to some extent.

“We have approved many LGBT adopters and aspire to making the dreams of many more come true, providing more forever families for the children in our care. We look forward to meeting couples and singles who may be considering adopting, and urge them to come and speak to our friendly and experienced team, who can offer them advice and information on all aspects of adoption.”

WWiSH will be exhibiting at stand 117 at the event on Sunday at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

To find out more about adoption call 487272 or e-mail wwish@wigan.gov.uk.

I actually think this is great news as more adopting families are much needed ! So lobg as the child is adopted into a loving, caring family what does it matter when it comes to sexual orientation, race, religion, age etc... So long as the parents can provide a safe, stable and loving home for the children then that is a good thing and very much needed when there is not enough people adopting !

Hear Hear, Well said,

But I must also ask how many people get denied the chance to adopt just because they are not considered have a high enough income, Money isnt everything but it helps,
I have two children of my own plus two adopted children, I was one of the lucky ones.
If anybody can give a child a good loving home then please do, The sooner the better for you and the child.

as long as the parents are caring and loving it does not matter what sex they are.
